I have several 4 month old pullets. I purchased them sexed as females from Meyer Hatchery. So I was a somewhat surprised when at least one of them started CROWING this week. Investigating, I realized that two of the Buff Orpingtons are much larger than the others, with bigger combs/wattles...

They told me that they are fairly strict, but the height is considered to be the middle of the slant. Time to break out the pythagorean theorem and figure out how much I need to lower it.
