I agree! I ordered this magazine in June 2014 and have never received an issue despite being told several times on the phone that I would. I ask for a refund, was told I would receive a refund along with a complimentary copy of the magazine......to date I have not gotten anything. I complained...
Just my opinion , and I am a newbie to quail, but I would separate them. They say bobwhite are aggressive and they get bigger than the coturnix so you might endanger the smaller birds.
I would have thought these hens were roosters because of the combs and wattles. I have some Ancona chicks about 10-11 weeks old, maybe I have more hens than I thought!

I have what may seem like a dumb question. I have 15 Black Copper Marans eggs in my incubator , out of the 10 that have hatched, one of the chicks is a yellow color. My question is if the breeding hens and roo are full blood Blacks, can they throw a light chick or are the parents not full...

Are you referring to netting like you use to protect berries from birds? If so I would think you could find that netting in a garden center. I was wondering about using that on our run to keep out hawks, I am new to this.
