    Chick born with stretched out legs

    I had a problem with one of my chicks with its legs straight out and what I did was put it in a small Styrofoam cup in the incubator for about 6 hours , and his own body weight straightened his legs and now he's doing just fine. Just remember to give him water.

    Buy the egg o meter it works perfect I have the same STUPID SLOW one and the one I use and trust is the Egg o meter trust me it looks funny , because its an egg but it works .

    Which thermometer do I trust?

    I had 4 different thermometers and all had different readings, so I bought one that looks like an egg from ebay and all of my chicks are hatching fine. This one reads the temp in the egg so it gives an accurate reading. Try it , you wont be disappointed.

    So I finally figured out my problem, my humidity was to high so I'm hatching at 52% humidity,99.5 temp for the first 18 days in one cabinet incubator and then 66% humidity, 99.5 temp for the rest of the hatch and all my eggs are hatching awesome.

    I built my own cabinet incubator and put two fans , one on top facing forward and one on bottom facing forward and my hydrometer , right in the middle and I get an even airflow throughout the whole box.

    I have a cabinet incubator and a small foam incubator, I'm incubating with the cabinet for the first 18 days at 99.5 temp and 53-55% humidity , at the 18th day I'm putting the eggs in the little giant incubator at 99.5 temp and 68% humidity . the problem I'm having is the chicks are growing fine...
