No but be careful putting the lid back on. The gap above the water reservoir is just enough to trap a chicks head, but not enough to feel any resistance.
Is it too late to join this HAL?
I set 24 eggs on the 4th, that should be hatching on Friday March 25th. Didn't realize when Easter was this year!
I pulled 4 infertile eggs last Friday and have a few more that questionable fertility. Marans!
Love the Brinsea Octo 20. Always get pretty god hatch rates, although I think the Octo 20 could have benefitted from a second fan.
I just pulled the Brinsea out yesterday for a small run.
I need to find a home for 3 FBCM roos. These are 12 weeks old.
This is roo X, he is the last roo from my previous rooster.
This is roo 54, he is from a breeder in Texas.
And last but not least is roo 55, also from a breeder in Texas.
Sorry for the messy garage, I have...
I wouldn't determine the BCM sex solely on comb size. BCMs have large combs and wattles, if you are also seeing the comb become red, then you are probably correct on the sex.
I'm pretty sure Ladycat's line is comprised of birds of varying quality.
Some of my chicks I hatched from her eggs...
I usually sell barnyard mixes for $2-3, Olive Egger for $5, and BCM for $10, all straight run. Although sometimes I have just give away my barnyard mixes.
