@houdiniduck I have a Dark Brahma rooster I need to rehome!! I am also in Mesa, Gilbert & University area, I can deliver him to you if you want him. He is 4 months old and is barely beginning to crow. Send me a PM or email me at dofnup at gmail.
Crossing my fingers for a win-win situation
Whooo boy I have sooo many posts to catch up on, after 4 days of Comicon soooo exhausted!! Yesterday was a blur, jumping back into work and home life
And that's why I am apologizing in advance for this kind of re-post.
Is anybody interested in a free Dark Brahma cockerel?
I also have some...
@City farm I almost missed your comment!! I guess you are right, I Googled brahmas and sure enough, my leopard-face looks to be a Dark Brahma ........ roo. Which is sad for me because I liked that chicken
Anybody interested in a juvenile Dark Brahma cockerel? I really don't wanna have to eat him
@houdiniduck They are from McMurray, I'm afraid I don't know more than than that u_u I'm not a breeder at all, just think they're gorgeous. All I could get was straight run so I got a bunch to increase the odds of getting hens.
More pics, you say? Awwww yesss!!!!
First, allow me to introduce our Pekin duck, Elly (although we've started calling her Baymax XD)
Next up is our Kakhi Campbell Ana (she hardly ever leaves the coop so this was a rare sighting)
Next up is the lovely Queen Elsa, above everyone else...
@houdiniduck I am in Mesa. That's funny about the splash/blue thing. The grass is always greener I guess If you want the roos but don't want to come get them, I am more than happy to bring them to you. While I can and will process if necessary, I much prefer rehoming.
Pics!!! I tried to crop and point out the BLRW roos as much as possible. No joke, but it's pretty much: if it's splash, it's a hen, if it's true blue, it's a roo
They were hatched the first week of February and are barely beginning to try to crow. Honestly, the only one I can hear...
Well I won't even try to unload my cuckoo marans roo ... But I've got 3 BLRW roosters, too ... If anyone is interested, lemme know. They are gorgeous!
In any case, I predict a processing weekend awaits me...
@Sill @moms3cuties ... did somebody say goat + East Valley?? I'm in the East Valley, I want a goooaaaattt!!!
And now, in serious chicken news: the silence in my coop didn't last...I'm pretty sure I've got more boys ... sigh.
I know it's a long shot, but I gotta try ... anybody want a...
Well, since I couldn't find a home for them, and I couldn't keep them much longer, the two Welsummer cockerels had to go to the big coop in the sky :-\. It was my first culling, DH and I did it together, and while it certainly wasn't pleasant, I'm not emotionally scarred I don't think (always a...
Hi everyone! :-)
I'm pretty sure I've identified 2 cockerels in my batch of Welsummers ... Anybody interested? They are free for anyone who wants them ... Otherwise, I dunno, DH keeps talking about chicken n waffles o_O
I'm in mesa and will deliver pretty much anywhere in the Valley.
Here's a...
Yeah, the pods have to be split open, and they shouldn't be sour, they should be more perfumey, like eating flowers. I hope you are successful with your tree!!
Mmmmmmm I love Guamuchiles!! I didn't know anyone had those up here!! I'm from Mexico, actually from very near the city of Guamuchil, and I only ever had them back home. I have a very black thumb, tho, I can't grow anything I killed bamboo, just sayin'
OMG!! Just yesterday I was staring at...
Oh, man....around the time when my previous flock had dwindled down to 4, we adopted a little dog. We figured he was a Chihuahua/terrier mix. He was the sweetest little guy ... then he killed 2 of my chickens. Or rather, killed one and maimed the other so badly we had to put her down. I felt so...
Ok here is a terrible picture of the waterer, I took it this morning. You should be able to see how it works, the birds stick their heads in the white tube and drink the water, ducks can stick all of their face in and clean their nares and eyes, the chicks just dip their beaks as needed. Most...
Thank you! ^_^ my husband made the waterer, he says he's gonna start selling them cuz they're so awesome :-D the ducks can't dirty the water, it's miraculous.
As for the feed...I set up my 7" tablet as the webcam. You basically go to livestream on the tablet and start recording. You can use a...
I do not have pictures.....but I have a live webcam stream to be fair, it's a bit dark since I moved them to the garage, but there are previous videos posted that are pretty clear. Feel free to take a looksee:
