Australorps are great chickens! Mine are the hardiest of all. I actually have a "pet" australorp hen. When I put her in with a few other pullets and the rooster, (to be a grown up) she took one look at all the other chickens and jumped right in my arms! Needless to say, she is a pet now...

Hi! I just had a round of coccidiosis in some chicks also. It can be very bad! I separated the sick from the healthy also...(besides medication) Keep the cage VERY CLEAN with the sick and the healthy. This will help to stop it from spreading. Good Luck!
