RSmith, we do not want to put a permanent roof on because we designed the run so we can move it in 3 directions to give them fresh grass. Also we plan to move the coop closer to the barn in the winter to have it in a warmer location. And yes I am proud of my husband's carpentry skills. He does...- hastings

Yes RSmith, we are concerned about the open top of the run but have not decided what is best to put there. Right now we have a tarp covering half of the run for shade but we are planning on putting something else there. Any suggestions?- hastings
