"What do you mean?" Cress asked. Before Seth could reply, her 'homework alarm' on her watch beeped. "Sorry, I gotta go," she said, standing up. "See ya later," she called as she hurried inside and into her room.

Cress glanced up at Seth, "Oh hey. What's up?" she inserted a bookmark in the book, and shut it, setting it down on her lap. She brushed a strand of red hair out of her eyes.

Cress shut the book. It had gone by faster than she thought it would, but she got up and headed inside, in pursuit of the next book.
"It's a deal," Cress said. She was about to say more, but she was interrupted by a door banging open. She jogged over to Seth, bored. "Where were you? And why are you so late?"
