The first egg!!! And in the nestbox! My chicks are only 16 weeks and the first egg has been laid.
I don't know which of the four ladies has laid it, but I'm very proud of all of them.
they eat the leaves of the lily-of-the-valley, supposed to be very toxic, but so far nothing happened. I can't keep my eye on them all the time. At first they didn't look at them, too much going on, so I thought they were smart enough not to eat it. But a few days later... I caught them eating...
It was the same here today! Yesterday I still had to lure them with the treats, but today they went in by themselves and were al huddled up and asleep by the time we came home. I still bring them inside the house though, the nights are still too cold for them I think.

I'll put them in their coop tomorrow.
I'll keep their pen at hand if the nights are very cold, I can always take them inside again. (there are only four of them)

My 4 SLW chicks are 6,5 weeks tomorrow, still living inside, but their coop is ready now.
Could I put them in the inside coop when the temp is in the middle 50's at night?
I don't have a heater lamp.
Or should I bring them back inside in the evening?
