Here in Newtown there are no regulations on how many chickens you have, roosters or hens :) One of the reasons we bought our first house here!!

Beautiful coloring and very inquisitive temperaments. They are good foragers and very hearty birds. Medium sized bodies good...

    Altsteirer

Got a few good shots of my Altsteirer playing out in the backyard for a bit this afternoon. Happy birds! Since I only have two pullets for my one boy I've added a few non Altsteirer girls so he doesn't over breed anyone.

Very sweet little boys but I really do not want to keep feeding chicks I have no use for. Pick up in Sandy Hook or meet up within a reasonable...

    Connecticut!

Anyone interested in this pretty little boy? He fooled me, I was convinced he was a she until he crowed the other day! Would be a wonderful addition to any olive egger breeding projects since he's got the green egg gene(Isbar mix). 6 months old and free to a good home. Located in Sandy Hook.

7 baby Isbar chicks! Still have 9 eggs waiting to hatch..hopefully they will hatch today! Question though, I 'm a little worried about a couple of them. They don't seem to want to open their eyes. I cannot see any gunk on their eyelids or anything so what could be wrong with them?
