Anybody interested in a trio of very rare birds? Trio(1m2f) of the very rare Altsteirer available. My focus is now on my Isbars so these beauties need to find a new home! Beautiful coloring and very inquisitive temperaments. They are good foragers and very hearty birds. Medium sized bodies good...
Got a few good shots of my Altsteirer playing out in the backyard for a bit this afternoon. Happy birds! Since I only have two pullets for my one boy I've added a few non Altsteirer girls so he doesn't over breed anyone.
I've got 5 Purebred Isbar Cockerels...this is a Rare breed! The only single combed, green egg laying breed. These were hatched March 7th. All are blue. Very sweet little boys but I really do not want to keep feeding chicks I have no use for. Pick up in Sandy Hook or meet up within a reasonable...
My two Altsteirer pullets finally started laying! They turned 6 months old at the end of March. They're laying tiny little white eggs! Hopefully their eggs get a little bigger after they've laid a few :)
Just wanted to share this giant egg my blue partridge brahma laid today next to one of my Altistier's first eggs. It's 3.8oz.....cannot wait to open that sucker!
My alts are almost 6 months old! They are getting more and more red on their combs and wattles...eggs should be here soon. The cockerel hasn't started crowing or showing any breeding behavior but is maturing into a very pretty little boy. I cannot wait for my breeding venture to start with these...
Took some pics of my brahmas this morning. They are such sweet birds. I can't get over how big my cockerel Picasso is and he's not even full grown!! Love him!
Anyone interested in this pretty little boy? He fooled me, I was convinced he was a she until he crowed the other day! Would be a wonderful addition to any olive egger breeding projects since he's got the green egg gene(Isbar mix). 6 months old and free to a good home. Located in Sandy Hook.
7 baby Isbar chicks! Still have 9 eggs waiting to hatch..hopefully they will hatch today! Question though, I 'm a little worried about a couple of them. They don't seem to want to open their eyes. I cannot see any gunk on their eyelids or anything so what could be wrong with them?
Just joined this HAL! I've got 16 Isbar eggs due to hatch today and tomorrow! 15 Partridge brahma eggs in the bator along with 3 quail eggs. Yay for babies!!!!
