  10. This is the finished coop and run.. It's heavy and required moving when it was complete. So we added wheels to make that endeavor easier. The nest box will go there on the side but the girls are not quite ready to lay so I haven't installed it yet. I imagine later on I will add on the the run but they get free range of the back yard most days so they are pretty happy I think.

    The coop is in the process... And thank you for the tip about raising the water off the ground. After you mentioned it I did remember reading that before.. :) and yes! That is helping quite a bit!

    The chicks are doing great! I can't believe how fast they are growing! However... I have them in a card board box currently and so I a have no where to hang their food and water. They are going to be excellent foragers I think! One of them is about a week older than the others so she is teaching...

    From what I understand most people do keep feed our 24/7. But some just feed and water a daily portion each day. I suppose it's what works best for you, your family and flock.
