Good point and this makes sense. The chicks arrived via USPS today. Sadly 26 of the 50 were dead on arrival :(. This mean we will have to try extra hard with the remaining 24 since we are already at a disadvantage.

I'm having the same issue right now. We started a batch Sunday in our incubator we used last year. The main dial therm says 99, a flat therm laying on eggs shows 103, and a probe therm I inserted thru styrofoam says 96. :(. What should I do? It is a circulated air type.
