    Thanks Brookliner, someone told me to use also strips of roofing shingles or that roofing paper with the grit on it. Since the sun doesnt hit the ramp, I think the strips of roofing shingles may work.. ..

    The style of this coup is saltbox, meaning the roof is 2 inches higher in the back than in the front. We are first time chicken owners so im sure we have made many mistakes so far.     chciken coup is 4x8x4 on the high slant 2 inches lower on the low side (roof) chicken run is 16ft x 12 ft.

  5. *In the doors we made removable screened frames for when it is hot out. Moved teh chicks in but are all huddled under the step. They did come out later. Will post more pics of the girls .

  20. *Well worked onit for a few days. Got the frame up and supported, Door is on. Ude a piece of cattle panel that was cut off on the one of the shorter sides.Need MORE fencing now. Onward and upward as they say. This is one job i am enjoying. Soon the coup will be built inside. I hope after all this-my lil hens will love their girlie cave.
