They look very much like mine did last year. They really start showing in the last month of their pregnancy and I bet your smaller girl will start growing a basketball belly then. It also has a lot to do with their rumen and shape they have normally. Here are pics of my 3 girls taken on...
Thank you. They have not tried to swim on their own. I have put them in the pool and she did not seem to mind at all, although they did not stay in the pool long. I believe she has discovered that they are not chickens though. She has been taking them closer and closer to my ducks each day...
Thought you guys might get a kick out of seeing my LF Cochin with her ducklings. They have grown larger then her but she still insists on mothering them. They are now 6 weeks old and I plan on giving her 2 more weeks with them and if she has not let them go then I will separate them.
Some pics from today
Maybaline
Rudy my little wethered guy.
Shadow
Rocky, I am still unsure of sex on this Cochin. It is 5 months old, the same age as Shadow
Jewel still working on teaching her ducklings to be good chickens, they are 6 weeks old now.

Blizzard
Thank you. This one has been very hard for me to figure out. It's comb and wattles turned bright red and grew earlier then Shadow's and then has not changed since it was about 4 weeks old. I really hope Rocky turns out to be Rockette.
Updated pics of Rocky, I still have no clue. Rocky is now 5 months old . Shadow is crowing and chasing the hens but Rocky is not.
Rocky, sorry about the mud we have had rain all week
Shadow is the same age and definitely a cockerel
Another one of Rocky
Any thoughts on Rocky's gender
Just caught up on the thread. It is amazing how far behind you can get in a couple of days. We live in a small space for our large family. We have an 1800 sqft home and have 9 children and 3 adults living in it. It works for us and I do not feel cramped and even joke about all the space we...
My only experience with pregnant goats proved to be different for each of the three does. My FF did not get a bump until the last 2 weeks and it was small but Bam Bam her buckling was partying every day for the last month and it was quite obvious she was indeed pregnant. My other two had...
Thank you, I just hope I can figure out what is going on with them. Most of the flock has runny stools. They have all been treated for internal and external parasites including cocci. I have also treated the sick ones with tylan 50 but I worry about using antibiotics for unknown reasons and...
I have not posted in a while. I have been getting ready for our cold weather and trying to figure out health issues with my flock. I have had 3 birds die from different things in the past 3 months and now I have another pullet sick and away from the rest of the flock. She is eating and...
I think this has a lot of factors that go into it. My hen hatched 3 chicks and was off her nest, off and on, trying to take the 3 chicks to explore, when her egg was peeping and I thought there was no way it would ever hatch but I let her set on it overnight and in the morning she had a healthy...
Poor Scout...he/she sure knows how to get into trouble. Hope he/she starts feeling better soon. I also hope Agatha is doing well with everything Scout is putting her through. Parenting
When will Pie get a green head? We got him at the end of March as a few day old duckling. He mates with my female and does not quack so I am positive he is male. Here is a few pics of him and Butterfinger, who is the same age. I am starting to think he will never get a green head...
