    What breed of bird should I get for show next year?

    I love my Salmon Favorelles. I have never tried putting them in a smallish cage though. Kinda goofy, super sweet and put up with being handled quite well. One of them even does somersaults to escape our Ameraucana who can be a bit of a cranky lady.

    Where/how do you store your feed?

    I keep mine in galvanized metal garbage cans, which (so far) have not been broken into. Be careful that the garbage can lid doesn't have holes around the handle because water does get in. Silicon does work for plugging if you can't find a lid where the handle is welded to the outside.

    lethargic chicken

    Hi. Found a 3 month old chicken(one of a group of 14--all 3 month olds) very lethargic this morning when I went to change water and refill feed. Brought her inside to warm her up and keep her out of the footpath of the rest of the youngsters. She didn't seem to have and injuries or blockage...
