This is our California White - Sophia. Our grand daughter fell in love with her and just knew grandpa needed another chicken. The Astrolorpe is from Logan her brother. Both birds have the grand child's name.

1.chicken breed-- my buffs have been laying many eggs for many weeks but my EE who is one week younger has us waiting for our first colored egg..
2. Pecking order, anxiety and mental well being comes into play. Low chicken in the pecking order...

[/IMG] these are pictures of my less than a week old Americaucana chick with my 3 buff Orp's. Interesting coloration looks like a duck chick less the webbed feet. Any way to tell coloration at this stage??
