    30 days in the hole!

    Broody hen in the nest for more than 30 days. I read up and carefully gave her two baby chicks. She allowed them under her all night. In the morning they peeped and popped their heads out. She pecked them and fled the nest coop and run. Offended it seemed. Should I try again? Any tips? Thanks!!

    I have three big dogs so I have a kennel with an open wire bottom that I could try. Can I just set it next to the run up on blocks and maybe cover part with a tarp in case it rains and so she has shade? She will be able to balance on those wires? Should I put a roost in there?
