Please tell me this is NOT a little rooster!

Yeah, probably. I will probably have to give it another month to be more certain but that would explain a few things....like the fact that "she" ran up and pecked my dogs nose when she got close to the coop instead of running away with the other chickens lol. "she" is also bigger than the...

Please tell me this is NOT a little rooster!

My 4 Easter Eggers are 6 weeks old and one of them looks different from the others, "her" pea comb has turned dark pink while the other 3 have not changed...and now her tail feathers are popping out a bit. I put her picture below....

Need advice on floor of run

My husband and I have virtually finished the coop and are about to build the outdoor run attached to the coop and I am looking for some advice. I live in Central Florida....it gets really hot here but the coop and run are going to be under...

    Floridians?

I am on the east coast in Cocoa, Fl. Just got my chicks a few days ago. Ordered them from MyPetChicken.com, took two days to get here and they were bright eyed and healthy when they arrived.

    New Chick owner!

Finally took the plunge and got my first flock of four day old EE chicks. They are so stinking cute I can hardly stand it. My husband and I are moving more and more in the direction of self-sustainment and we already grow several of our own vegetables (and fish) through hydroponics and...
