Neat. Thanks for the info. Worth looking into since it's FREE. We have laying hens only, but they are a little less than 3 months old. I'm thinking even if I do feed some, I should wait until they gave moved past the starter/grower feed.
My 5 are red sex links (I think). They went out at 4 weeks old here in WNY - no light and the temps were still getting down to 30's-40's at night. They were off the lamp inside for a week before that. They seemed to thrive outside and never seemed cold. They are about 8-10 weeks old now, crazy...

Why is too much soggy food bad? Mine are almost 3 weeks old and LOVE mash made from their chick food and water. I've been giving it a few times a week at least. Is that too much?
Cool, thanks for the input. I have never had chickens before and found it curious that one seemed be surpassing the others in strides w/ wing, feather, and general development. It doesn't look as apparent in these pics as it does when we are staring at them. :)
