    Thanks! I should have mentioned that they are not really ''babies"...we got our ladies at 19 weeks, already laying, from a great local farm. They are now 21 weeks old. We have a roosting bar that I hung about 2 feet off the floor. They've been on it. They may even nap there during the day...

    NJ - Sussex County Poultry Fanciers Annual Spring Show - 2014

    My family and I are SO looking forward to this show! We just started our flock a few weeks ago with 6 RIRs and are loving them! We are hoping to add 4-6 more ladies to our flock. Maybe some "fancier" birds to add variety. Any suggestions or favorite breeds? Doesn't need to be super prolific...

    My girls put themselves to bed at 8pm almost on the dot every night. They sleep in a heap (puppy style) in a corner of their coop. I have areas for them to roost in the coop...is it normal for them to sleep this way? It's very cute.

    Hi everyone! My family just got our first small flock of chickens last week and we LOVE our girls! We started with 6 RI Reds. They are so funny to watch, their personalities are hilarious and we are really enjoying our fresh eggs!
