    Ok we have 7 chicks. 3 RIR 3 Red Stars and 1 Barred Rock. They are between 6 and 78 Wks old. Would it be ok to add a 24 wk old RIR to the coop? I was thinking that she might help train them to go into the hen house at night

    I'm trying to finish up the coop today. ( took a day off ). The question is should I put a food trough inside the coop as well as outside? I know that I should put water in both. Also where should it be? I have a wire bottom area for the roost area and a nest area.

    That is a great thread Petrel! Thank you. I will add several more tomorrow I different locations. The one area to not have vents would be the nesting area right?
