Yes I'm aware of the chicken wire not keeping predators out. But we have a fence that uses hardware cloth and the coop is inside that fence. This is our coop. We are very new to this and bought this from a neighbor who builds them. He suggested no nesting boxes...that they will just lay on the floor.
