We are dealing with what I think is a mite issue. I can barely see the tiniest little moving white specks on my chickens. We treated them with sevin 5% on Saturday, but I'm still seeing a lot of bugs. We dusted under wings and the vents, as well as in coops and nests. Do we have to wait 7-10...
You all have been great at helping me so far. I have 2 bantam chicks that I'm still unsure about. Hoping someone knows what kind they are.
1. This one looks blue and cream.
2.
I bought these in hopes that they are EEs. Can anyone confirm? Also, I know that many of you are awesome at determining gender of EEs by colors and patterns. I tried reading up on that, but it just really overwhelmed me lol! I was hoping some of you could help me out with that, as well. :)
They...
Just wanted to update this since I now know what they are...both females! The white one is currently sitting on eggs trying to hatch herself some babies.
She started sitting sometime during the day on February 4th. We brought her inside and put more under her that night. It's hard to tell if there's any peeping because we have some recently hatched from the incubator that are peeping lol. But I candled one today and it is definitely alive.
Hello everyone. I have a silkie sitting on eggs. Today is day 23. No pips. I have candled a couple and I do see movement. At what point should I be worried?
Pretty sure Meep Meep is a bantam. He/She is very tiny. Here is Meep Meep with others the same age..silkie and cochin bantams.
Pic of Meep Meep with a young standard size leghorn pullet from last night. There is about a week or 2 difference in their age.
Just another pic from a couple...
Legs and feet are not feathered. He has a long neck it seems. This was an attempt at a standing pic, but he just can't stay still. Busy chick.

I may have some on my dslr I can load tomorrow.
