I'm so sorry! Did you get them already sexed? This is my biggest fear. This is my first time raising chickens in a very long time and I really don't want to end up with only one pullet and by the time we find out it would probably be too late to buy more chicks.
Ah okay I will hold off, I wouldnt want to give it away and it actually be a pullet. I'm really hoping that I dont have more than one boy... I actually found another thread here with chicks that looked similar to mine and they ended up being cockerels.
The main chick in all of them is the same one, I rent on a property where I can't have a rooster and soon we will be moving to a city so we definitely can't have one
My amber whites are 4 weeks old and one I think is definitely a roo! It's chasing the others and looks to be growing spurs. Here are pics. What do you think? We only got 4 chicks and I'm very hopeful that none of the other three are roos too...
Hi guys! I have a 3 week old chick who had dried poop buildup stuck to the fuzz right below her vent. I managed to soak it in water but had to gingerly cut it off. Now that the fuzz is coming back, she is starting to catch some poo on the fuzz again! Anyone had this problem and any suggestions?
Actually I think they said they were a week old when we got them, so right now they are almost two weeks old. The pics are one side of two different chicks
Hi there, another newbie here! Bought three chicks from Wilco a few days ago, supposed to be pullets but we are wondering about one of them. Here are pictures of the difference between two of their wings. Worried one is a too because the second row of feathers is only at the end.
