Have you all heard about the official stop movement order #03-2015 that was just put into place for poultry effective until 12.31.15 unless lifted before then?
I am new to the PBR, but I love their beautiful markings. I just added one to my flock of hatchlings for the pizzazz she will bring. She is so calm right now and loves to snuggle in my daughter's hair. We are calling her Pebbles. Trying to upload a pic but it's not working on my phone. :-(
My little one who is crowing and one of my lil black sex links are the two going at it. I wanted to keep the BSL but if it's another roo I won't be able to. This is why I am trying to figure out if it could possibly be a pullet and a cockerel or definitely 2 boys.
I am asking because he seems to be going around with one other particular chick that we thought was a pullet, but now we aren't sure. Those two stare each other down, pull on each others combs pretty hard and they flare up their feathers at each other and chest bump. Are both of these cockerels...
Will he only try to assert his dominance in the pecking order with other cockerels in the flock or will he play "king of the mountain" and be aggressive with the pullets too?
Welcome to the group!! You will find that there are many fantastic people on this thread that have a plethera of knowledge that they are always willing to share. You can learn more than you ever imagined here on BYC in general!!!

This is why I LOVE BYC!!!!!
Are you part of a silkies thread? Being in a specific thread is very helpful. All you have to do is type up your question in the reply area and submit it. Someone will read it and offer suggestions.
Deerfield you crack me up!! However, I gotta admit I like the way you think!
So out of the 48 eggs that made it to lockdown, 37 hatched, but 4 of those were pretty weak and didn't survive. We still have a total of 37.... Yep that's chicken math!
