I have several chickens for sale.
5 BSL hens (2 years old- they are molting and hence not laying, but I expect they'll pick up again soon)
1 mutt cockerel
2 OEGB mix hens- They're great mothers.
Take as many or as few as you want. The cockerel is not aggressive.
I have too many chickens...
I'd get a muzzle, put her on a long leash, step out of sight if possible, and let her mingle with them.... If she lunges at them you know she's not safe....
Just my 2 cents. Best of luck.
A fluctuation that large will not yield good results... What are you using to measure temperature?
You need at least two calibrated thermometers- any built in readers are usually off by quite a bit.
Sorry to hear you couldn't get any.
I'd try incubating them myself- Stop over at the incubating and hatching eggs section for hatching advice.
@WVduckchick
and
@LocalYokel
are two people that I can think of right now who have hatched quail.
Best of luck.
A general guide is there should be an area of about 95 degrees F in one corner, and a cooler area where she can get out of the heat. Decrease the temperature by five degrees every week, ex. week 2 90, week 3 85. However, it is my opinion chicks do not need that much heat, so I use a heating pad...
