We got our first ever bantam egg day before yesterday!! It's a pretty little egg:) the 2 in the center are the bantam eggs:) got another one yesterday it was slightly lighter in color and smaller not sure if it's from the same chicken or not guess we will wait and see:)
lol it's definetly got a learning curve but loads of fun:) and i'm enjoying finding new pictures to do on them:) getting goose eggs in jan to carve and eventually want to do ostrich, emu, and any other eggs i can get my hands on lol :)
I do photography and egg carving lol but not together yet lol lucky if i can keep the eggs long enough to get a fast picture with my cell :) soon i hope to be able to start getting real photographs of my carved eggs :) but here's some i have done..
i have done a few with a dremel but have since ordered a power carver lol the dremel works for pretty basic stuff, but if you want to do finer more delicate stuff it just doesn't cut it:/
these were all carved with a dremel...
Got my first egg today!! It's tiny but solid!! Lol it had to be from one if my red stars or Rhode Island reds.. Since it's light brown they were hatched April 27th!! :) excited ;)
looks like a pullet i have a silver partridge i believe is a male :/ it's only 10 weeks old...
Yours looks more like his sibling we believe is a girl lol
We insulate the coop and use heat lamp set on timer... :) we also have to have lights on a timer as our days are getting darker already lol but ours have always laid through winter :) hoping to hatch some more choc eggs next summer in hopes of a roo and few more hens:) you have beautiful...
