    I have 25 hens, 10 red pullets, and 15 black astralorps...I'm getting about 15-17 eggs a day. I find it funny I'm not getting 25 a day yet they are all 5 months old now. What could the problem be?

    One of my girls was busy this week...the first egg was last week then Saturday through Monday one egg per day!! Happy at least one is producing right now and cannot wait for the other 24 to produce as well.

    I found my first egg today too!! Mine are almost 17 weeks old. I have been feeding them grower/finisher feed...and just bought 3 bags of it last week and have 2 bags left! I wasn't planning on them laying till they were 22 weeks...so what do I do now?

    HELLO! I'm all new to the chicken thing...my husband is more familiar with them than me, we moved here 6 months ago and have tons of room here in the country. We bought 41 chickens back in March, wow was that overwhelming!! We lost a few chicks right away, and a few more later on...those ones...
