The baby at the wrong end needs to be watched and monitored. We had a duckling and a chick both hatch this way. With the assistance of us helping them out. Keeping in mind blood vessels and yoke. They are both healthy. :) Congrats on the babies. Hatching is a wonderful experience.
We picked the three hens up from a lady close to us that lost her roo and the nest that was being built up to a fox. I am unsure where she got them from myself. But I can find out. :) They really are pretty ladies. And very curious. We are in the US.
She is just a little shier than her brother. :) I hear you with the zoom. Can't wait to get ours free ranging so I can catch them in action. :) Thank you so much for getting some pictures of her. Now I feel a little better finding out what Crow is. :D
That is perfect. We have a roo coming for her on Tuesday from a local farm. She has too many roos. :) So I will have a pair. Really love their little head dresses. :)
That might be a little closer. One of the other babies has barred rock markings, 2 have Ameracauna markings, one is white with a few black spots, just to name a few. I would really love to see yours. :)
I think this is a very nice idea and would be great for all chicken enthusiast every where. The credit to the photographer is wonderful. However setting this up in a consistent studio style might be hard. I have a studio but getting show quality might be hard. Will look forward to hearing more...
It is a good possibility that it is a mix. There were a lot of different chicks in the lot. Just trying to get an idea. If it is a hen Crow will be added to our layers. :) It was a laying mix that we picked up. :D
Chickens love the color red and will keep picking. I am very sorry to hear about your loss though. Pasty butt is a pain, but the babies are worth keeping at it.
This little chick is about a month old at the time of this photo. We won him/her at an auction with 8 other couple day old babies. This one is solid black, legs and beak. No other color whats so ever. Bare to skin under wings at time of this photo too. White skin. We call him/her Crow. Does...
