It's not her ears...I checked last night and they are clean. This is a raw patch behind her ears--on both sides. Any ideas?

My easter egger has a raw patch behind both tuffs...could this be ear infections even though I can not see the ear canal...the areas appear swollen, but there is no goop around the area...it just looks raw. She is eating fine and is not shaking her head...breathing is normal...???
