I've been getting eggs from my Amauracana hens since Nov, but this is the first speckled egg. Any thoughts as to why? Is it possibly diet related?

I know it is late, but these birds are definitely NOT show quality. I am very disappointed with their chicks. I purchased Cuckoo Marans and Amauracanas. 90% female sexed.....actually they were 50/50 and I don't believe either set of birds to be pure. They were also infested with poltry louse...

Any idea if this is a weirdly speckled egg from one of my red sussex hens or if it is possibly a maran egg? I have three four month old pullets. Thanks!!!
Not sure how to upload pics to a thread, but I have it on photobucket and my profile. I am wondering if this could possibly be a maran egg as my pullets are four months old. I also have leghorns, easter eggers and rhode island reds that have been laying for about a year. This egg is speckled but...
