I have been breeding, collecting eggs, incubating and hatching of the eggs, and brooding chicks, pouts, peachicks, keets, and quail for the last 6 years...
I understand that chickens have natural staph on them. I wondered if it could be transmitted to people, say if you had an open wound on you? I can't find anything relevant on the internet and have looked thru the forums here too.

As the chicks get older, they will begin to create their own heat, which can cause fluxuations in temperature--completely normal. Be concerned if the temp raises to 103 or more and stays there. This can cause permanent damage or death.
