I was able to put the new chicks in the coop at about 3 & 4 week of age. No adults. A couple nights the temp dropped in the 50's & a couple dropped into the 40's. They took the temp's fine. Kept them in the coop 2 or 3 day before I let them explore the run, and another couple days later to...
When a small town Iowa restaurant shares their recipe. Ditto's Chicken Enchiladas 1 -2 cups chicken, 1 onion sautéed, 1/2 to1 tsp. cumin seed smashed,1 can green chilies, 1 pint sour cream, 2 cups Jack cheese divided, 2 cans cream of chicken soup & flour tortillas
Pretty much mix it all...
It's just the two of us.
Legs thighs, & wings browned in skillet. Juice, ginger garlic, honey, & starch, thickened a little & added to the skillet along with pineapple sweet pepper & onion. Finished in the oven. Nice glaze on the chicken. I'll give myself about a 9 1/2 on a scale of 10
Local grocery store had whole 5# chicken on sale @ $0,69 # regular price is about $1,39 #. Also had fresh pineapple on sale. Let me see what GOOGLE suggests.. My meals run about 80% good, but sometimes the dog won't eat it.
My best dog ever is Maggie Jane, a F puggle. Rescued from a private home with 2 puggles, I think because she love to bark at everything :-). We were told she hates men. Not true. We headed to the vet for a check-up as soon as we took ownership. On the way she taught me how to sing with her. Boy...
My line of thinking. White leghorns are supposed to be great layers, so I wouldn't think the whole flock would stop all at once. Slow down? Yes. Even without added light you should be getting some eggs. I think I would be looking for any possible health issue. Molting, or something that may be...
I am in no way an expert on chickens, but it sounds to me like your run is in a low spot and holds the water . In my case the run is on a slight slope and the litter dries out quickly. I've been blessed with no fowl odor. (no pun intended)
Now me, on the other hand, 2 freshly layed chicken eggs this morning went promptly into my jacket pocket. I wish I had remembered they were there before I shoveled the drive.
Jumping in here. I follow "Hey Grampa" quite a bit, but seldom comment. Seems to me the 4 of you that post the most are all excellent cooks. Its no wonder your Hungarian restaurant turned you off, cause you know you all can cook better. Me on the other hand,. $100 to $200 tab would get the best...
I looked at your dish on GOOGL:E images. So many variations. They all looked good. It'll have to be great.. Tradition dictates here. Ham bone & black eye peas, with cornbread. Not because I love it. It's tradition. Kind of like coffee, eggs, & hash browns for a hang-over.
I think the best tasting vegetarian white chili has chicken in it too. Chorizo sausage would be OK also, as long as it's Vegetarian. Ham bone split pea soup & corn bread here for tonight.
