I guess I should say g-night all...I have had a good day today, mostly lazy just the typical barn chores and did only those I HAD to. The goats were ready for milking early this evening and it's been cloudy and drizzley this evening so I milked and fed early and the even the chickens had...
Sorry everyone for just now getting back with you....As for the hen....she could be an ee, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what color egg she lays. I still haven't had any luck with a pic of her. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the help, keep it commin!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, hope you have a great one!

Now just think about this, by the time you get them and they hatch a month will be up and thats August. You could keep them inside for a month and thats September. That's just in time for them to go out.
I know, I know.. but hubby said I can't hatch out any more chicks until...
Yes, I will keep selling until the hens go broody. Please keep in mind, all those interested, I have 3 laying at this time and a fourth one that was broody when I got her but not showing any signs at the moment so she may pick up laying again.
We had a great time....the new babies are doing...

What is up with the early hatching. Mine aren't due to hatch until tomorow and started yesterday!!! So far 9 have hatched of the 25 and 1 has pipped this evening, I hope the rest hatch. The 9 are all doing great so we'll see....
I have RIR/P.Rock and EE's due to hatch the 16....this is my third batch and hope this one does better. I got 50% on the first 2 but got a new thermometer for this one and found that the other was off by 8 degrees:(...keeping fingers crossed!
I would say groundhog, too. The sad thing is they don't tend to relocate very well. Most of t he time they will starve to death, so if he's a real problem you'd be doing him a favor by just shooting him. In the long run it's the most humane thing to do.
I don't think he'll bother the chickens...
