Help Hen has a large sac under her vent
Did you get any answers? One of our Buff Orps had the same thing. We just culled her and opened her up and it was yellow fatty ? Not sure if tissue is the correct term? I didn't see any eggs or yolks just this fatty yellow mass.- Kdubowski

Mites or something else?
They usually free range during the day but started eating the broccoli plants in our garden so have been in lately -by In I mean in a large coop with a fenced in area outside. I didn't think it was pecking as it's the underbelly on the really bad one?? And they are Buff Orpingtons which are...- Kdubowski

Mites or something else?
Any ideas on what my problem is here?.. I have 23 laying hens and three have issues of varying degrees with the worst being the huge swollen bloody underbelly! They are eating and acting fine...How do I know if I have mites? I do have three broody hens- but could it be this bad? Help! Also...- Kdubowski
