    Just want to say thanks for the support, everyone is doing ok since my last post. Looking and acting healthy and laying again. I still have no idea what the problem was??? Anyway thanks again, I really appreciate this source of support and information.

    About 10 days ago I picked up 8 pullets (about 10 weeks old) All looked good. I put them in with my existing flock (3 silver lace wyandots, 2 barred rocks, 1 banty, 1 silkie (my pettin' chicken) Big mistake I know now.....everyone seemed okay, I fixed a new area in the barn for the pullets...

    Thank you! I'm new at this, definitely noticed a difference in poo......will keep an eye on the length we give them. My non chicken friends think I've gone a little off....I enjoy watching and caring for the girls so much.

    Is there any harm in tossing grass clippings in the chicken yard? The lawn has not been treated with anything.
