I'll try to get new pics tomorrow. I have been more focused on breeding for egg color than body type though. Not sure how fat their heads are. :)

Hope everyone survived last night. It was a nasty one. I haven't been near my computer to post the Giles Co. outbreak on the Middle TN Chickens page. Hope to have time later. We need to preach biosecurity LOUD! Be careful with your flocks. Also probably should discourage wild birds from...

I have two blue Ameraucana boys out there and a buff orpington boy. They are close to full grown. They are free if you want them. I'd rather they go to a home instead of the stew pot. All three are gentle and well behaved. The AMs come from a long line of great roosters. They aren't lap...

Hey, Rebekah! I have sold out of everything except a few buff orps and barnyard mixes. I also have a few late blooming Ameraucana roosters if anyone needs one. Come spring I'll start hatching again. I'm only doing Ameraucanas and EEs this summer with possibly a few buff silkies.

If it helps, I had a chick once that had been pecked down to the skull. Seriously, could see bone. He lived in the house for a bit and was treated with antibiotics and a topical ointment. He eventually was fine. :)

I have a herd of LF cochins out there that aren't moving fast. They are cute little suckers too. Production birds at point of lay do great. Buff orps, barred rocks, sex links, etc. People seem to always be looking for marans too. The weirder lines I've tried sell kind of spotty. Sometimes they...

Orange Tabby...He Stays and His Name is Finn (Update with Videos Dec 31)

See? Once you start they just keep coming. There is a secret mark that stray cats put on a house that says "easy touch lives here". Next thing you know you have 19 cats and a hoarding problem. They also start by sending in the "good cat" who suckers you into thinking that a cat might not be so...
