I am very sure we dont have a roo !! Ah well the mum hen is very independant and lives out most of the time, she must have gone visiting over the hill !! nature will out as they say
I had the mum for about 3 months before she hatched the chick so would be suprised if she was still "carrying" for that long. The mums legs are no where near the colour of the chicks . I think the chick is cute though

Hi, here is a photo of a chick my bantam hatched in April, we dont have a rooster not is there one nearby ! We have lots of wild pheasnts and I thought it might be possible. The chciks legs are grey, not like any of the other chciken I have, what do you all think?
Jumped up early to day and with the help of hubby we have extended the protection round the bed so they have more room out on the grass.... with a shelter, nest, private garden and lawns I recokn they are living in Cluckingham Palace !! lol The sun is out today so I will try to get a new photo...

hmmm I guess it will be out with the extra chicken wire tomorrow !! I am still really puzzled as to how the chick came to be, the nearest roo is about a mile and a half away over the hill !!
