Shot day yesterday, so felt like queen of the slug people today. Allergies are already high here, which is ridiculous.
HOPE to spray trees tomorrow. We shall see if the winds are optimal in the morning when the temperature is. Otherwise, I'll try again Monday, when it's supposed to be 74...
I found buying trucitrus lemon packs was cheaper for me than buying lemons. I buy a box of 500 packets at a time. They come every 3 months automatically. LOL
It's not fast enough for oak trees.
That's only at .5% iron. Oak trees need far higher and faster foliar spray. I'll get some next trip to the city.
They'll get plenty in our natural soil once I hit true spring and can get them out there in the dirt.
Ah, but craving sweets is craving carbs, which is energy booting, empty calories and short term, but still a boost. Sometimes sweets cravings is also a craving for salt (odd I know) or citric acid (sour). So I try to find it in another source.
OMG I crave SO MUCH lemon water LOL
Now it's February, I'll start craving horseradish.
============
Baby oak trees in the house need iron supplements. need to track that down today.
I did put down tomato food in the garden, which still needs the herb portion cleaned out, but I'll save that for...
ME TOO!
It's hard because we are all 100% different and nothing works for everyone.
I have days where all I want to do is cry, but can't as it brings on migraines. SO I go out to the cattle pasture and butcher trees. (Invasive ones only.)
Or I go and do something that takes 1000% of my...
BINGO.
And for that NOW I wear a headset to bed and listen to white noise TV episodes. My brain knows them beyond heart and I zonk out and dont' give my brain a chance to wander and stay awake.
Yep, I used to get hormone swings that would do that to me. Hard, exhausting work to get out of my own head was the only thing that worked. If I sat with my own thoughts, ooof, spiral out of control.
If it happened in the middle of the night, I'd get up and make up some huge ugly math problem...
I hear ya.
I'm tired of the cold and damp though. Blessed we didn't have MORE cold and snow.
60 tomorrow and 70 Monday, then back to the 50s for a bit.
I need to transplant the oak tree seedlings that are in the house. They've stopped growing, which I think means they've bottomed out in their pots.
The barn was very quiet this morning, sadly. Sigh.
It's the 3 oldest boys left, who are all half brothers, 14-12 and 11 years old. The spunk, but not the personality is missing.
OC the chickens are still entertaining me with their antics, but dang it.
Hey, any one tried the snail method...
Yes! Russian olive. Huge thorns and sharp. They go right through shoe soles and leather.
The herd wasn't around when the vet came. They were out on pasture. But when they came in for dinner, they noticed. They looked at his pen and at me, at the pen and me. Omg. Crushed.
I purchased a dough kneading machine as dough is too hard on the KitchenAid. Yes, I know they SAY it can handle it, but all the 5 machines I've killed, I've killed with dough.
The little machine mixes and warms and rises my dough, punches down and remixed and rises again if I want, and then I...
I have a partial set of mini bread machine books. I do the dough by hand, but there's not one dud recipe in them. It's really nice as they recipes have 3 each, small-medium-and large loaf.
64 degrees today and windy. I spent the whole afternoon chainsawing down invasive cedar trees in the...
I've only had problems with having multiple roos once. And it was creepy. Got rid of all of them.
Every other time I've kept two roos at once, no problems at all.
I'm currently down to one.
On my list for next month. I think this year I'm going to go the oiled sand storage route with my expensive hoe. I've already redone the handle as it tried to peel off the lacquer that the creator put on it.
