Hi, raising some chicks the hens ignored, poo is usually the green and white stuff but today they left some that was a runny brown and looked like black--did I feed them to many bugs? Is this normal? Hope no one is trying to eat at this time reading this.

Hen (Little Bit) as been brooding on eggs for at least 3 wks now, thought since there has been cold nights, eggs may not be vialble. Went to candle one today, and dropped it, cracked it, no 'fluids came out', appears the egg is fertile--afraid Mom won't accept egg back since I put band-aids on...
