    JUMBO EGGS!!!!!

Yeah that looks about like what she lays. ISA Brown I believe is a prolific layer? That's what mine does too but it hasn't gotten better yet. Hopefully your girl figures it out though!

Hen stopped laying, losing weight and swollen webbing.

The bottom of her foot looked the same as the top. No bullseye or sign of bumblefoot. Unfortunately I was not able to find a veterinarian to look at her within a 200 mile radius and last night she passed away. Thanks you all for your attempts to help.

Hen stopped laying, losing weight and swollen webbing.

My barred holland hen was laying steadily one egg everyday and was gaining weight great and was all healthy. Then about three weeks ago started losing weight drastically,n stopped laying cold turkey and developed a funky looking growth between two of her toes. The growth is a red color and has...

    JUMBO EGGS!!!!!

One of my isa brown girls lays a jumbo egg about once a week. They are about the size of a duck egg and the carton wont close with them in it These are great to collect but im afraid they are hard on my hen who only recently started laying. All of them lay exceptionally large eggs anyway so...

It happens everyday. One hen lays in a particular spot(she fights me if i try to put her in the nestbox)the minute she lays it the others gather around it and peck a hole in the shell to get to the insides and tak turns eating it. They leave all the other eggs alone though, which i find...

All of my chickens eat eggs. HELP!!!

Two minutes ago i walked in on my 8 chickens huddles around an egg, taking turns drinking the egg white/yolk. I immediately seperated the chickens from the egg but this is definetly not a solution and i need one. I have been working on bulding a rollaway nest box to keep the eggs clean, etc but...

    Egg laying while standing up

Oh my goodness thank you. I tryed with both of them. One got the hint and now lays in the nest box. However, the other one is the problem. She seems to have a privacy issue so I put her in the nest box but she hopped out so I put her back in the other way and held up my jacket to block the view...

    Egg laying while standing up

There are fake eggs in the nest box but they tend to not lay in the boxes that have an egg in them. Well that is reassuring at least. Yes they started laying a couple weeks ago. There is already hay under it which is why I'm confused about how the eggs break so easily. And yes they have...

    Egg laying while standing up

I have six Isa Brown hens who started laying two to three weeks ago. Four of them lay in the nest box, one on the floor randomly, and one while sitting on the roost. However they all lay standing up. In the nest boxes they hunch over because there is no room to stand up so the eggs are fine...

    Beak Trim Before Show?

Update: Apparently the beaks didn't matter. Judging was based on feather and bird condition, cleanliness, uniformity, and representation of breed. Three of the four pens that I brought received first place ribbons/trophies!!!

    Beak Trim Before Show?

It does not specify which class they are in, just how many chickens go in each pen and the gender they have to be. No other information is given. Sorry.
