This sounds great Payner59! Thank you. I drive through Cortland all the time - beautiful new home for some happy ducks. How did you know the ducks are Jets fans . I will email you directly out of the thread to talk details. All the best, Allison
We are near Watertown, NY. Do you have other ducks and access to some water for them to swim? Would they go in at night and be adequately protected from predators?
Two female White Pekins, four Blue Swedish (males and female - two of the males, I think, have a teeny bit of mallard in them) in an adorable petite flock in need of a new home. They spend the day outside and come in at night. We are moving and unable to take them with us and all of our leads...
To any of us who have rescued an animal, your story is sweet. This is not a place to be critical. I suggest adopting too.. craigslist is a good suggestion, but there are also other sites (like this one) that might present the best option. If you have the space for an outdoor enclosure that is...
Pearl and Jewels - I though I was responding to the black and white duck photos :( I'm sorry -- I'm not sure what the pale yellow little one is!) I'm sorry! Keep me posted too!

If they are really little, I'd keep ducklings in a covered space... I've seen some people even do this with colorful umbrellas. Hawks got two of three ducklings in an open-top enclosure on a school patio. After that umbrellas shaded the survivor.
Glad to hear you will keep them indoors for a bit -- you will be amazed at how fragile they can be. You'll be able to tell when they are big enough to go outside - it won't be long... they grow up very quickly. Enjoy their cute duckling-ness.
