We are near Watertown, NY. Do you have other ducks and access to some water for them to swim? Would they go in at night and be adequately protected from predators?- AllisonB

Two female White Pekins, four Blue Swedish (males and female - two of the males, I think, have a teeny bit of mallard in them) in an adorable petite flock in need of a new home. They spend the day outside and come in at night. We are moving and unable to take them with us and all of our leads...- AllisonB

need advice on indoor vs outdoor pet ducks
I'm so sorry. I understand, it is so hard. Few people get to have the wonderful experience you had. I always say, if it weren't for the poop, everyone would have a duck. Well, I think all that attention you gave it, helped make it the little friend it was. Of the two ducks we've been close... -
hawk discouraging
If they are really little, I'd keep ducklings in a covered space... I've seen some people even do this with colorful umbrellas. Hawks got two of three ducklings in an open-top enclosure on a school patio. After that umbrellas shaded the survivor. -
New Duck Owner
Glad to hear you will keep them indoors for a bit -- you will be amazed at how fragile they can be. You'll be able to tell when they are big enough to go outside - it won't be long... they grow up very quickly. Enjoy their cute duckling-ness. -
