    What is a good age to start figuring out who to keep? Mine are 3 months old and I have to part with 3 or 4 cockerels. Should I wait a little longer or is 3 months a good time to take a hard look at them?

    Ok, thanks. There are a few with just a tiny dot on the head, and just a little color on some of their wings. The chicks hatched are solid yellow, (wheatens) the chicks from TX are the ones that are showing just a touch of color on the wings, but they're a mix..wheaten's and blue wheatens..

    Newbie question.. some of my wheaties are solid yellow and some have some color on their wings. Is this any indication of anything? A few should be blue wheaten's, most are wheaten. They're just a day or two old.

    I have chicks! These are my first ones. 17 perfect little fluff balls are here. It looks like I have a good variety of colors, mostly blues. Can't wait to post pics, but it isn't letting me at the moment.

One was pipped at the wrong end and was covered in white-clear gel that turns to cement when the air gets to it. The other pipped and couldn't ever zip...

    I've received shipped eggs just three times. I can honestly say that these were the best packed eggs I've received so far. They all arrived safe and sound.. from GA to MI. Double boxed :) The recycled paper was an excellent source of padding between the boxes.. The 2nd box... I love that...

    I'm around 25% to 30% days 1 thru 18.. then I bump it up to around 50 to 60%. Temps have been 99.8 I have started collecting again to try something different. I have some in the incubator that will be day 18 Wednesday. I candled last night... lost 7 out of 10. So somethings going on...
