Thank you, I ended up lowing the heat lamp even more for them at night (getting down to the low 50s). I will go this weekend to get a warming plate for them. They seem to LOVE the coop. I go in at least twice a day, changing out their water and handling them (so I can as they get older)...

I started with a pullet surprise from the Ideal Hatchery. So not sure what all I have. But I love the unusual ones.... love silkies, which I know I don't have yet.

My major concern right now is cold / heat and their ages.... are they old enough to deal with the cool air at night being 1 month & 2 days old? I know they were to big now to be in the house, I had to get them outside, but I also don't want me to be rushing the process & ultimately risking...

YAH!! The girls made it through the night. Went and checked on them at about midnight, before I went to bed, then I was up by 7:30 and they all where running around their coop and "playing" (if that is what chickens do)..... I had the heat lamp on all night, and according to the readings...

I have been soooo busy, I haven't been around since my girls were delivered.... So far all my chicks are doing GREAT!!! All have survived!!! I have identified at least 1 rooster for SURE!!! Can't you all tell... LOL Now, as for the others.... I will take more...

I just found out that I have been blessed with 2 of these beauties!!! We named them Satin & Lace!! They are a week and a ½ old :)

Ok, I named these 2 Satin & Lace!! Now I have 3 of them named.... 12 more to go!! LOL I dont really want to name them till I know what they are.... or better yet, know if they are boys or girls... is that bad?? LOL Now to tell Satin from Lace... I have to figure out which is which :p

Awe, YES! I understand now, and yes I did see the differences in the black and browns, just thought it was simply different colorings was all... but yes, my GIRLS are brown.... woohoo!!
