They started a stair stepping price.
For females:
Tier 1 starts at $5.32
Tier 2 $5.54
Tier 3 $5.90
Tier 4 $6.39
Tier5 $6.64
Tier 6 $11.31 (this is where most of the chicks i was wanting are priced)
They aren't even that unusual. Specifically olive eggers.
This is ideal poultry catalog.

Nagem,
Quick question. Do you sell hatching eggs from your Ameraucana’s?
I noticed you are just 30 min away from me, and I am actually looking for different breeds to hatch.
Looking for 15-20 eggs later in the month.
Yes, i was afraid of this.
I kind of figured that if they (USPS) cant handle priority next day shipments in 1 day, then they certainly wouldn’t get priority shipping on time.
I am not going to drive to MO to get them, so i guess i will stick with Ideal poultry and just drive there.
On another...
Hi there,
I am not new to ordering chicks, it’s just has me concerned with all the slowing down of the USPS shipments this last year or more.
I am in south Texas, so in the past I have ordered from Ideal, and not had problems. I was a little nervous last year when I ordered from Ideal, so I just...
Hi,
I am looking for ideas to convert several 10 hole metal laying boxes into a front roll out. Has anyone done this with success?
I have looked for ideas, and can’t find any for the conversion for the metal nesting boxes.
I would need to remove the entire front, however all I can find online...
Ok, wow! That looks very uncomfortable for him. I have a hen who had similar swelling , and like yours the bottom seemed fine. I soaked, and made a small incision in the area with the most swelling. If I remember correctly we had to really force the pus out and yes, there was a bit of blood. Her...
Couple more things…
Knowing that the hardware cloth was a great dust collector, i might think about the 1”x1” wire for the top area only.
I have to dust it off weekly. The less i dust it, the more the fans need to be dusted.
Hi there as far as the winter goes all I do is I put a tarp over the front because that’s where most of the wind and the cold comes in and I only put it down maybe one or two days out of the entire winter, it doesn’t get that cold here.
I don’t ever put any heat source of any kind because of...
Hey there, yes thats my coop in Southern Texas!
I love the space we have for the girls, yet wish I had built a dedicated room(think concrete floors/solid wall for feed storage) Right now i use large trash cans to store all the feed, but of course the chickens roost on them every night and I love...
Thank you all for the help. We found out it was a bobcat. I saw it a few more times, and shot at it, may have nicked it, but it never did return.
It killed so many hens, and several roosters.
I never did understand why it came around every 2-3 hours, just to kill 8 or so hens then leave, only to...
Ok, thanks. My current coop in a different county is a little confusing. I know they don’t count it, however it’s right next to another shelter, so from the sky it looks like one long pole barn. They only tax us on the shelter right next to the coop, per the square footage.
True, however I am trying to figure out if anywhere in that law does it state a size.
I truly am only using it for a coop, I just tend to not cull the older girls. So as you can imagine, I have quite a few ladies that don’t lay, just live out the remainder of their lives with me.
Yes, I know...
It’s hasn’t been built yet, so there is absolutely nothing there. I am just in the planning stages and originally wanted to figure out if there is a size listed somewhere that I can’t go over. I was planning on a 24x36 pole barn, however in the state law, I can’t find a thing about sizes...
Thanks.
That’s the thing, I would like to avoid a huge fight on the chicken coop because we will already be going head to head on the house. The house is currently not being lived in, (no homestead) and they didn’t put the circuit breaker limitation on it last year. Since it’s not in our name...
