    Post broody not laying

I have a small flock of seven chickens. My one maran went broody about a month ago. I finally separated her about two and a half week ago for about 3 days. She has been back in the flock for about 2 weeks now, but still no eggs. She doesn't seem to be broody at all any more. What is going on?

    feathers pecked out!

So, I have (I think) 7 hens: 1 maran, 2 wellsummers, 2 brown leghorns, 2 silver laced wyandottes. Someone just replied to an earlier post that this was a young brahma, but it doesn't have any feathers on its legs. Still a brahma? Thanks, JAson

Quote: Thanks for your help. Now, if you could spell things out for this ignorant newbie, peacomb is for a pullet or cockerel? Also, saddle feathers and hackle feathers are? Are there any diagrams around? Thanks again.

    What do I have?

I am not sure on the breeds of my chickens. I got them from a gal who ordered several hundred by mail and was getting rid of them. She said there were red leghorns, barred rock and speckled sussex. I don't think she was right. Also, can you tell if any of them are roosters? I keep hearing a few...

    Hola

So..I am new here and saw what a great resource this place is and wanted in. I have 10 chickens (for now) and it has been tons of fun letting my 3 year old get them used to people. Poor chickens. Anyways, I look forward to learning more and watching my chickens grow.
