My chickens are sick. It all started with a new couple of birds I brought in to my flock. I had separated them first for 2 weeks. After that one of the new birds started weasing when sleeping. Seemed had for her to take a breath. She perked up quick but then my 7 month old silkie died kind of...
I'm not sure what I should use for my chicken run. Right now its just dirt and grass. It gets muddy at times. I thought of using sand but what kind of sand is best? Would hay be a bad idea since its not covered? Any ideas would be great!
She is doing great now. The vet really had no idea what it was but we decided to have it removed. She is doing so well now. She is about 5 months now. We are hoping for no problems when she starts laying.

It's funny because the tissue looks healthy. It looks like it's supposed to be there. but around it looks like it's trying to heal. That is probably from the poop sticking to it. I think I might just take her to the vet. Thank you for your help!
I've been cleaning her just ad advised since I got her. The pasty butt is a little better but that ball on her bottom is big and looks irritated closer to her vent. Eating and drinks well. Just worried its some kind of deformity.
One of our Orpington chicks is having some sticky butt issues and I have noticed a weird growth protruding from its bottom. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated!
