My MIL was born on Christmas Eve - we always treated her birthday as a special and distinct event. Birthday cake and all. She died this last January - We'll still be remembering her this year on her birthday. I wasnt' the "favorite" DIL but Loved her still...
Such a shame - I'm so sorry for your loss! She was a really beautiful little girl with a cute personality.
As far as cleaning goes - how about using a kennel type disenfectatant in a carpet cleaner? You could also use the attachments to shampoo your furniture. Such a bummer that you need to do...
I'm pro guns because we American's have a right to bear arms. It's just a happy coincidence that I'm able to use my .22 on predators - any chance I get.
To be at their best finches really need to have a flight cage. greenscape has it right - I would look for a cage similiar to the set up greescape describes.

DE - when they crawl through it - the little shards cut them and eventually they cease to exist. I would also add ducks to my flock. My ducks LOVE slugs!

I would take her up on her offer. He'll get to know the ropes in no time and I think you'd be very happy in getting an adult gander - I think your lonely goose would too.
Good Idea Oregon Blues - Better yet, BYC just needs to make it a sticky.
OLIVE HILL you helped a whole lot of people and geese with your post - nice job - thanks for taking the time to do it.
