Hey, I just wanted to introduce myself on this thread...I had chickens in 2009 but just got them again after a few years. I am a SAHM and I have 2 toddlers. Oddly, my older toddler is scared to death of all black birds except our chicks. She sits and talks to them and sings to them endlessly.

Wow, thank you for your help, you all! It seems to be a single comb but it's still small so it's hard to tell. I don't have any pictures, unfortunately. S/he was the color of either a red sex link rooster or a golden comet as a chick. Or, some other breed that's the same color.

Hi, Does anybody know what breed this chick is? She is about 5 weeks old and I got her in a surprise special box of pullets from Ideal. She is somewhat excitable but friendly. She's pretty smart, too. Thank you!
