    Not sure of the % of calcium so I give them oyster shells sometimes. Also Kale. Gave them a whole bunch of herbs yesterday, including parsley. Also dusted them for mites but I don't think that is the problem. Thanks for your reply.

    My chickens do not like pellets. They eat crumble readily. What brand of pellets do you use? Perhaps I can get them in crumble form. Someone told me that black oil sunflower seeds have a good amount of protein. I will check it out further. Thanks so much for your reply.
